Blizzard Ent

Blizzard Entertainment

Another of my loves over the years has been gaming, even though I have never been able to afford a powerful gaming desktop (sorry I'm not part of the pc master race), I have always been a fan of the Warcraft franchise by Blizzard. From the days of the RTS (Real time strategy) Warcraft games, right through World of Warcraft and it's expansions (FOR THE HORDE!!), and Hearthstone, it's CCG (collectable card game), Blizzard has kept me hooked in the Warcraft world,

Side note, I still need to play the other Blizzard franchises, just haven't had the time or the system to be able to sit down and play them

About Blizzard Entertainment

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. is an American video game developer and publisher based in Irvine, California, and is currently a subsidiary of American company Activision Blizzard and was founded in 1991 by 3 UCLA grads as Silicon & Synapse. The company was founded primarily to make ports of games for other gaming studios, before in 1993 they moved onto making their own their own projects, making games like "Rock n' Roll Racing" and "The Lost Vikings".
The company went through 2 name changes in 1994, first becoming Chaos Studios, then Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.
Shortly after this, Blizz made their breakthrough game, the smash hit Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and from there went to create other hit games such as Diablo, Starcraft, Warcraft sequels, and in 2004, World of Warcraft, the most widely played MMORPGs ever (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game) ever with a peak of over 12 million subscribers and over 100 million accounts made in the games lifetime.

Personal thoughts

Even after all my years of playing video games, Blizzard still remain one of my favourite gaming studios, while there has been some bumps along the way Blizzard always come back strong, releasing stunning expansions to their games, allowing them to be played for thousands of hours while still being enjoyable for both new, and old players and would recommend that if you are thinking of a new  online game to try, give the free trails of the games on the blizzard website a try, and if you like card games, give Hearthstone a try, its free to play though be prepared to grind to get cards if you don't like the micro transaction option to get them :)
